  • Why is Jessica Malone Portrait different than other portrait photography?

    This is all about empowerment. Forget Glamour Shots and those awkward poses. Our studio offers luxe, personalized sessions complete with all the celebrity glam. Jessica will capture you in editorial portraits that you’ll love and will guide you with easy-to-follow mirrored posing to achieve natural looks (no fake smiles here). You’ll have incredible stylists at your side throughout the entire shoot, and you’ll even have access to our studio wardrobe to help complete your looks.

  • Do you photograph families, newborns, or seniors?

    Our specialization is in photographing women and the people they love.

    Family Photography: we photograph a beauty session with Mom and bring the rest of the family in for the last 30 minutes. We've found that kids can be distracted/ing for an hour long photo shoot and 30 minutes seems to be the sweet spot whether in the studio or on location. Let's start with some time to pamper you, Mom. We'll create beautiful portraits of and for you and then we can bring the family in for some lovely family photos too.

    Senior Photography: YOU BETCHA! We love, love, LOVE shooting senior sessions! We can shoot in studio, on location or both! We'll highlight their loves and dreams and have a ball! This is a great opportunity to showcase their love of sports, dance, theatre, reading, chess you name it!

  • Do you photograph men?

    Absolutely. Whether men come to my studio with their significant other, or on their own they are always welcome.

  • What is included in my portrait session?

  • Do you offer payment plans?

    Yes, we offer financing through Synchrony Bank, as well as pre-payment options.

  • How much do most clients spend?

    Each client has different product needs, from albums to wall-art. The average client spends $3-6K. What you buy is totally up to you. You don't have to choose until your reveal session.

  • How much should I budget for a custom photoshoot?

    My booking/session fee is $690. My packages start at $3000.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    All purchases are final. There are no refunds should you have to cancel your session. Once your photo shoot has been scheduled with our calendar, cancellations are accepted up to 10 days prior to your appointment, but will require a $200 rescheduling fee. "Why?" you might ask? Because once your appointment is confirmed with our calendar, we do not accept any other business during that time-frame and are required to pay our stylists for the time they block off as well. Of course, we understand that emergencies do come up, and in some instances we may choose to waive that fee however we find that having this policy in place detracts from last minute cancellations.

  • How far out should I book?

    We are currently booking 2-3 months out.

    Ideally, you will want to schedule your session 4 to 8 weeks in advance.

  • What should I wear?

    Before you book, you’ll receive a complimentary consultation with Jessica during which we’ll begin to plan your wardrobe. We’ll go through what to wear, what will help you look stunning on camera, even where to shop for those scroll stopping pieces. In addition to what you’ll bring, we have a collection of gowns, bodysuits and accessories Jessica has curated over the years and they are all available to you during your session! There is also the Luxe styling option where a minimum of 4 pieces from Rent the Runway are hand-picked and ready for your shoot.

  • Do you shoot on weekends?

    Saturday’s are premium bookings and require a $4000 deposit which will go towards your purchase. We are closed on Sundays.

  • What if I'm not photogenic?

    Girl, it’s not your job to be photogenic. It’s our job to know the angles, the lighting, the lenses, and the poses to best showcase every beautiful thing about you. You come and relax. It’s our job to do the rest.

  • Will you photoshop or retouch my images?

    Absolutely, each of your beautiful portraits will be given Jessica’s Signature Retouch. This high end retouching is a luxury art form that adds the same polish to your portraits that you’d see on the pages of Vogue. We retouch gently to preserve a natural look while enhancing your beauty in remarkable ways.

  • What kind of products does your studio offer?

    After your session, we’ll present approx. 200 images to you in a private reveal & sales session. There, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your favorite shots and select which portraits will be purchased & retouched. Ways to treasure your images include products such as Printed Albums, custom Wall Art and Folio Box Collections.

  • Can I just get digitals?

    Digitals and desktop prints are the same price. Each image you purchase comes with its corresponding web-size digital.

  • Can I print my own photos?

    Any imagery purchased from your session includes the corresponding digital file with a complete retouch, and sized to the size purchased. If you would like to print additional copies of your images you are absolutely welcome to print that imagery with your printer of choice up to the size that was contracted with us. Larger prints than initially purchased must be purchased with our studio.

  • What is your turnaround time?

    Once your imagery has been selected and paid for in full digital imagery will be delivered with 3 weeks of receipt. Artwork (sometimes depending on the time of year; holiday orders do have earlier deadlines with our vendors to ensure quality) is typically within 4-8 weeks from completion of edits and digital delivery.

  • Will you use my images in marketing or on your website?

    We do require all clients to sign a portrait studio agreement for their session which outlines certain boundaries and expectations however, many of our clients prefer to not have their imagery shared publicly. Jessica will determine with you at your image selection appointment which imagery, if any, that you are comfortable having shared in our marketing efforts.
